Chair and room rental

Your salon, their business.
Everyone's money in the right place.

Salon Manager is built for salons that rent chairs or rooms to self-employed stylists, barbers and therapists, and for the renters themselves.

For the salon owner

Rent that collects itself

  • Weekly or monthly rent, a percentage of takings, or rent plus a percentage above a threshold
  • Collected by Direct Debit or card into your account, with reminders when it's late
  • Rent invoices with VAT when you're VAT-registered
  • Rent-free weeks, deposits and a clear statement for each renter
  • Rented chairs show as busy in your diary, so reception never books over them

£15 a month per location you rent from

For the renter

Your own business, properly yours

  • Your own diary, prices, hours and booking page
  • Your own client list, which the salon owner can't see
  • Card payments straight into your own Stripe account
  • Your own reminders, texts and reports
  • Move on whenever you like and take everything with you

Renter plan: £8 a month

Keeping self-employment genuine

HMRC and the hair and beauty trade bodies look for signs that a renter is really in business for themselves: their own clients, prices, hours, takings and records. Salon Manager keeps those separate by design. Each renter's account is walled off from the salon's by the database itself, not just by a setting.

Software can't decide anyone's employment status. Take advice from your accountant or trade body, such as the NHBF, on your rental agreements.
